Katherine Dionysius
Katherine Dionysius completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts) with Honours at QUT in 2010, with a focus on curatorial studies. Her Honours research examined the contemporary art experience, by investigating shared curatorial strategies of art museums and alternative exhibition spaces. Katherine worked in collections and exhibitions at QUT Art Museum from 2009 to 2013. She is currently Head of Research at 89plus, a research project co-curated by Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist, investigating the generation of creative practitioners born in and after 1989.
Amy-Clare McCarthy
Amy-Clare McCarthy completed her Bachelor of Creative Industries Honours in Visual Art in 2010. Her honours thesis was an analysis of different modes of participation in contemporary art. In 2011-2012 Amy-Clare undertook internships at MoMA PS1 and e-flux, New York. Amy-Clare currently works at the State Library of Queensland as an Exhibitions Officer, and at Metro Arts as the Visual Arts Coordinator. She has previously completed curatorial internships at the Queensland Art Gallery and QUT’s Creative Industries Precinct, and has also worked in the Public Programs department at the Queensland Art Gallery.
Richard Stride
Richard Stride is an emerging visual artist, living and working in Brisbane. He completed Bachelor of Fine Art (Visual Art) with Honours at QUT in 2010, and works primarily in drawing and object-based formats. His practice is driven by a curiosity of the built environment and the tensions evident within it. It particularly seeks to question the contemporary role of geometry in regard to the human experience of simplicity and complexity, and order and disorder. Richard has exhibited in Brisbane galleries including Metro Arts, Ryan Renshaw and Brisbane Institute of Art, and created temporary installations at events such as National Youth Week and the Woodford Folk Festival.
